Happiness is about making sure that everything around us brings us pleasure, whereas joy is about a deep confidence in the love and goodness of God no matter what goes on around us, or inside us.
Happiness is fleeting where as Joy is eternal! Joy also is a weapon- I've found that is why the enemy likes to try & steal our joy! Over & over in the scriptures it says to be joyful...to rejoice...to CHOOSE joy! Joy is a powerful, contagious state of being that crushes the works of the devil!
