Non-violent protest is non-participation in the system that does not produce what you want it to produce. Martin Luther King Jr knew it, Ghandi knew it before him, and Jesus knew it first.
You don't have to have a violent revolution to change the world. We simply have to live with integrity the values, dare we say morals, that we hold dear... and the world will eventually follow... or it will kill you. Either way, you win. At least that's what Jesus said... and His disciples... and their values conquered all the known world withing 300 years. It's because they knew the secret of social change... and they were Right.
