Conflict, and it's effective resolution, are at the core of healthy relationships. You cannot avoid offending the other person and they cannot help but offend you. It's being able to love through those offenses and conflicts that gives life to a relationship. In the moment, conflict is scorned, but afterward it is looked upon as a marker of accomplishment, "We made it through <i>that</i> together."
